Teaching Cycles of Elements
University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice
Description:

The course is focused on adverse effects of increasing concentrations of nutrients and other ecologically important elements and substances from anthropogenic and natural sources on aquatic ecosystems. The graduates can gain basic knowledge about major sources of water pollutants, their effects on natural element cycling in waters, and possible measures, how to protect aquatic environments from their effects.

Ecological management of reservoirs (KBE/471), Element cycles and processes in the catchment (KBE/469), Special limnology (KBE/465)
University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Faculty of Science
Description:

The lecture and exercises provide information about water reservoirs, their water management purposes, specific properties in terms of the water ecosystem and water quality, and the methods of their eco-technological management, whereby eco-technologies mean management methods that are close to nature and sustainable.

Element cycles and processes in the catchment
University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice
Description:

The aim of the lecture is to provide an overview of the basic processes of the cycle of nutrients (C, N, P, S), organic matter (primary production, humic substances) and other elements (Si, Fe, Mn, Al) in the "watershed - reservoir/lake" ecosystem and gain skills in evaluating them.

Cílem přednášky je poskytnout přehled o základních procesech koloběhu živin (C, N, P, S), organické hmoty (primární produkce, humusové látky) a dalších prvků (Si, Fe, Mn, Al) v ekosystému "povodí - nádrž/jezero" a získat dovednosti v jejich hodnocení.
