We seek an outstanding and enthusiastic professional with an international reputation to lead research, development and public interactions. We place emphasis on high impact, peer-reviewed publications, international experience, experience in founding and shaping interdisciplinary and creative research environments. Strategic and conceptual skills to foster the development of the strategic research vision are essential, as are proven leadership skills and a communicative, motivating management style. Candidates with wide ecological scope are particularly encouraged to apply. This position includes research and administrative responsibilities in cooperation with a number of research bodies and other stakeholders. The director provides leadership for research and for improving institute facilities in order to enhance the institute’s impact on science and society.
