The project "Functional role and ecotype divergence in Actinobacteria of the AcI lineage" in cooperation with partners from 4 European countries is granted for 4 years and financially supported by the Czech Grant Agency.

Professor Karel Šimek awarded Doctorate Honoris Causa

On June 25, 2010, professor Karel Šimek, head of the Department of Aquatic Microbial Ecology of our Institute, received Doctorate Honoris Causa of Hydrobiology from the University of Clermont Ferrand, France, on the basis of his outstanding publication and educational results.
